Sunday Mornings
Sunday School
Sunday School for 4 year olds through 6th graders is Sunday mornings during the sermon portion of the service at Dr. Daniel Bright School during our 8:30 service. Each morning begins with one of the 4 M's - Music, Missions, Memorization & Muppets - a brief time where everyone 4 years old through the 6th grade meets for some fun and challenging ideas for the day. Some days our puppets do a pretty good job of explaining what to expect later in the smaller Sunday School class settings for Pre-K, 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, and 5th & 6th graders. Other days we all do some singing together or are challenged to understand and pray for different missions around the world by Arlene Meeds, our honest-to-goodness, resident missionary! Arlene often invites other visiting missionaries to come share with us, so you never know who you might meet next! We also work together on memorizing different verses from the Bible that have to do with our lesson themes. This is a great time of interaction and the classroom time is in much smaller groupings for more personal discussion and learning.
Children's Church
Sunday mornings at the 10:15 worship during the sermon portion of the service. For all 4 year olds through 6th graders, we practice the song we're currently working on for a future perfomance during the worship service for our parents (and everyone in attendance) and then we dig into some exciting Bible stories together, some weeks as a whole group and some weeks in smaller groups for even more interaction! Children's Church runs about 35-40 minutes.
